Say you’ve been struck with a bit of inspiration one day. You see something overpriced online and think to yourself, “I could make that…” and you get to work. Now, you are sitting in your living room surrounded by too many odds and ends to even count. What do you do with them? Throwing them out would surely be a waste, and you don’t have the energy to find a bunch of friends to take your art off your hands.
This weekend, you can sign up for your very own booth at the Crafty Fest Market at Grand Central District. The Market focuses on Indie Art, Handmade and Vintage pieces, perfect for those looking for a way to showcase their talents to the world, all while making a little extra cash.
Creating not your thing? Come by to see what you can find in the rows and rows of craft booths, allowing you to finally spice up that boring corner in your living room you’ve been meaning to pay attention to. Booths include some of the best artisans in the Tampa Bay area, including ETSY vendors as well.
Arts and crafts not your thing? There is plenty else going on at the ARTpool Gallery to check out. From fresh produce coming into the farmers market, to Food Trucks at PAW from 4 p.m. to 9 p.m., there is something nearby for the entire family to enjoy.
If you can’t make it out this weekend, never fear: The Crafty Fest comes around every month, sometimes even twice! Their October dates are set for the 7th and the 8th, with follow up dates on November 4-5, December 2-3 and December 16-17. Saturdays and Sundays 11 a.m. to 5 p.m., there shouldn’t be reason not to go!
